Mr. Steve Thomas

Minister of Music

​

Steve Thomas has served as the Music Ministry Director at First Baptist Stevenson for six years. He and his wife, Shelia, bring a blended style of music to our Sunday morning worship services. Steve is the proud father of three daughters and grandfather of eight grandsons. 

Mrs. Lynn Maples

Children's Ministries Director

​

Lynn Maples is a career children-and-family-ministries servant. Her background and experience in child development bring strength and expertise to our children's programs. She supervises and organizes Children's Church on Sunday mornings and Wednesday night kids' ministries. Lynn has three sons, two grandsons, and one granddaughter. 

Mrs. Nia Stivers

Director of Youth Ministries

Nia Stivers is the wife of Jason Stivers, her high school sweetheart. She is a Nationally Board Certified English Language Arts teacher at North Jackson High School. Her passion is seeing teenagers meet the same Jesus who changed her life at fifteen-years-old. 

Mrs. Shelia Thomas

Administrative Ministry Assistant

Shelia Thomas has served as First Baptist Stevenson's Administrative Ministry Assistant for thirteen years. When asked about her position, Shelia stated, "I love my job! It makes me genuinely happy to work with the amazing staff and to be able to assist members!" 

​

Shelia serves as both the pianist and the Co-Music Ministry Director in addition to her duties as the Administrative Assistant.
